Olivares, who has never used an alias, is a Montes de Oca family hitman. A top professional, he is thought to have murdered more than twelve people during the family's rise. Though the MDO does not bring him out for just any killing, his name is so deeply feared on the streets of Southern Arizona that just a rumor that he might be in town is enough to send dealers scurrying and junkies hustling to pay. A true sociopath, he was one of the few soldiers that came out clean from the 2000 drug war that brought MDO to the top.

In 2000, he targetted the family of Solana Gomez, but before he could kill them, the demonic spirit known as the Child manifested in the Gomez home, killing everyone but Solana. Olivares, investigating, accidentally attracted the attention of the Child, which would torment him into ever more destructive hits and violence over the years. Once he realized that the spirit was real and not just the urges of his savage mind or greed for money, he attempted to dispatch it by taking a family hostage for use as a sacrifice in a ritual that would satiate and make the Child vulnerable. The Gomezes intervened, dispatched the spirit, and Olivares was taken into police custody for shooting Carlos Moore.

He plead to aggravated assault with a firearm and was sentenced to five years in prison. He is eligible for parole in 2011. To some degree he is relieved to be in prison, able to accustom himself to life without the Child in a controlled environment.
