Mateo Gomez and Theresa Cruz

Mateo Gomez moved in with Theresa Cruz in 1989 when he got her pregnant with Ilana "Mercedes" Gomez, who was born later that year. Cynthia served a five year prison sentence for her involvement and has recently been released. She is currently keeping her nose clean.

Michael Saavedra, unmarried, is an important operator in the Gomez family, narrowly dodging a prison sentence more than once. He often lays low in Mexico. His son, Raymundo Saavedra, is a bagman and operator in the family business. Diana is living with Eduardo Garcia and they have several children together, all of whom are involved in the family's illegal enterprises.
