Eduardo Garcia

Eduardo Garcia married into the Gomez family in 1998, when it was one of the premier drug smuggling and sales organizations in Southern Arizona. After the 2001 drug war, where Eduardo was injured but not incarcerated, he reluctantly went along with Rafael Gomez' plan to retool the family as a strictly immigrant-smuggling organization. When Rafael's health began to fail in 2008, Garcia made his move, attempting to consolidate influence and power within the family in order to re-establish it as a drug gang, in light of the failure of the Old Mexican Mafia and the Montes De Oca Family to resolve the drug war and get the supply back on the street. However, the player characters opposed him, and managed to shut down his supplier and cut off his power base. Faced with the possibility of being on the receiving end of a one-bullet war, Garcia surrendered and is now a "good soldier" for the family again, though he confidently believes that Raymundo Saavedra, for all his self-rightous posturing, will eventually return to him and acquiesce in returning to the drug game. There is just too much money on the table for anyone to leave it there forever.
