Adelita Duarte

Duarte, a resident of Sonora, Mexico, is an officer of the Agencia Federal de Investigaciones (AFI), as well as drawing a second paycheck as a Policia Judicial de Sonora. Very laid back in her attitude towards corruption and law enforcement, she nevertheless (or perhaps because of this) provides information as a contact to Carlos Moore, in the United States. She has no time for the thuggish, militarized tactics of the "preventive" police - having relatives in the restive state of Chiapas has only confirmed her prejudices against the military branch of the Mexican government often used to put down natives and the underclass there.
